Finding Your Passion & Making It Your Job -Erina Yokobe

First of all, I would like to apply my dedication and sensitivity at work. I like to do something for others, and I feel great pleasure when I make people happy. About my sensitivity, sometimes it is regard as negative thing, because it relates vulnerable or fragile. However, I believe I can consider people’s feelings deeply. Therefore, I would like to use these two personalities at work. About Emma’s second question, I don’t like to lead a team as a leader, but I like working with people to solve a problem. When I resolve an issue with team, I can get a sense of achievement bigger than doing on my own. Regarding to Emma’s final question, I’d like to work in an international company and go around the world. It would be fantastic for me if I could interact and make relationship with people globally.

In terms of doing multiple work placements, I agree with Emma’s thought. I could not judge whether the job suite me or not, only by my expectation or hearsay. To gain correct knowledge and useful experience, I would like to do various kinds of part-time jobs or volunteer works.

Emma also suggested that she is a wide achiever, rather than high achiever. In my opinion, I think I prefer to master something more than acting widely. Of course, I highly respect Emma’s wide range of working life, yet it seems too challenging and difficult things for me to do. It takes long time for me to get use to a new place, so if I do the same thing as Emma, I will move other workplace without being able to understand the work thoroughly.

Finally, I totally agree with her perspective, “ultimately it is all about happiness”. The reason is that I could not continue working if I couldn’t feel pleasure in my work. As I said as answers to Emma’s three questions, I can get great happiness through making people smile. So, I would like to give delight to people through my work.
